View Full Version : Best Infomercial Ever, I Mean That, EVER!

Now we've seen a lot of awesome freaking commercials here at Geekologie, but this one may take the cake. It's for the $600 Beamz Laser Music System (Beamz Lazer Muzic Zyztem was already taken). It's basically six lasers, and anytime you break a beam with your fingers/hands a different sound is triggered. You positively HAVE TO WATCH the entire 3:00 video (after the jump). Now I've been known to set up a camera and film myself doing stupid things before, but never have I ever looked this ridiculous. It's almost too much to bear thinking these people are real and can wake up in the morning and face themselves in the mirror. That said, the laser thing they're playing is the awesomest f-ing thing I've ever seen.

Check out Bert and Ernie free-styling right after the two minute mark.

If I was playing mine and someone else kept sticking their hand over I might get mad.

the girls gone wild infomercials are much better imo.

Watching that infomercial reminds me of the Simpson's where Lisa discovers that nerd sweat makes bullies want to fight.

I am in need of some sweet soothing quiet reverie...

It appears to me one still needs a sense of rhythm to do it.

I can't decide which is funnier?

The rock guy wearing shades or the bald guy wearing headphones? What could he possibly be listening to? His vocal track?:D

All you have to do is promise to tell a friend about it, and you will get a second one free!!!!

Seriously, if they can make this, we are not that far away from the 3 seashells. Spek to whoever knows what I am talking about.

That thing is almost uncomfortable to watch. I was squirming in my seat. Of course, that could be because I just had coffee and now I'm playing turtlehead.
I'm buying the first round for whoever does a screen capture of the "more cowbell" scene and makes it their avatar.
KC//CRIMSON made me spew coffee on my keyboard. Of course, BSG did hang a slider right over the plate.

If they would set the server clock by my lower GI tract, we would NEVER have these "clock is off on the server" problems.

That made me want to fling poo at my monitor, and since I was also turtleheading (though mine was from tea), it was a very real possibility. Seriously people, just go buy a guitar and take some lessons. A harmonica... xylephone... keyboard... anything but that.
