Schools with blue as the the primary school color historically dominate in multiple NCAA basketball championships( UCLA, UNC, UK, KU, Duke, and even Florida lately). This year in the Final Four, UCLA, UNC, KU and MU were all wearing blue with the effeminate blue shades going out big in the first round of the Final Four. Florida won back to back championships

Teams with derivatives of red dominate in football with multiple NCAA championships(Ohio State, OU, USC, Alabama, Nebraska, FSU)? UT has won three championships (Nebraska actually was the champion in 1970, not UT), but they are Orange, which is red with a bit of yellow mixed into it.

Orange is the women's basketball color :D
After all, there is Tennessee.

Or perhaps, it is green, in favor of OU foes Notre Dame and Baylor.

Or maybe a hint of silver, with the recent success of Ohio State and UConn.
---

We should also point out that most schools choose red or blue as their primary colors and in some instances like KU's they have both. Thus, this might be a mooty moot point :D

Add Michigan. They won at least one title and have been to Final Four and Final Two multiple times. Blue.

Of course not.

An exciting year was 1976. Indiana beat Michigan in the finals. In the semifinals, Michigan beat the University of Detroit Titans coached by Dick Vitale. Indiana beat NC-Charlotte. Leading up to the Indy-Charlotte game, Charlotte beat Central Michigan University by 2 points in triple overtime. It was almost a 3-team from state of Michigan Final Four with Indiana from the bordering state.

And the greatest year was the time Bo, the AD, fired basketball coach Bill Frieder. Frieder said he would coach M through the tournament and then go onto Arizona State. Bo said a Michigan man would coach M not an Arizona man and fired him. The interim coach proceeded to take Michigan to the national title.

Putting this long post in here about my old favorite team is for the OSU lurkers who like to think they have "tradition". Michigan fans do not consider their school to be a basketball powerhouse but they have had as much or maybe more success than Ok State who thinks they are a traditional national powerhouse.
