will in some way be decided by Ed Hightower? I groaned when he was announced as one of the refs for the game. I couldn't help but have flashbacks to some of the OU games in the late 80s and early 90s.

I know he's highly respected and all around the league, but Ed is still Ed IMO.

Carry on.

I don't think he's a bad ref, but he has a style that draws attention to himself. And that tends to make people remember his questionable calls more than other, more anonymous refs. IMHO.

Agreed, sky. Ed's a flamboyant ref!

You mean like the technical that just didn't get called?

absolutely unbelievable finish.

And Dorsey's fouled out for OT, by the way.

Go Big 12.

Billy packer needs to be drilled in the face w/ a basketball. I bet he shoots like a girl.

He acts like he knows everything. AFTER IT HAPPENS!

Ed Hightower has to make a spectacle of himself. It is sickening. I cannot believe he didn't call the technical on CDR, just so he could draw attention.

A-****ing men. I'd put up with the zombiefication of Dick Vitale, allowing him to announce until Doomsday, if it meant one minute less of Packer's "analysis."

Never thought i would see the day that Bill Self would outcoach someone in a big game
