Can anyone tell me about this guy, I just heard about him recently but by most Sooner fans opinions he can come in and start and be a Ebi Ere type player, whats the word on him???

I read a story on ouinsiders that he was a capable 3 point shooter who had lost interest in OSU after the firing of Sutton. It looks like our only real competition is Kentucky. He's listed at 6'7 205 and would probably play the 3 but is capable of playing the 2 if needed.

They have a picture of him on the front page of ouinsiders.com .

He averaged 17.4 pts, 6.7 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.2 assists, 2.7 turnovers this past season in juco.

He shot 54% from the floor, 39% from 3 pt. range, 71% FTs.

Are they going to decide anytime soon?

I personally would much rather have Patillo.

We no longer need Clark. We have inside depth and could use an outside threat like Patillo. It would be nice to have Warren and Patillo to go with the Griffin's.

If we get his guy, we will have a big starting line-up next year:

PG: WW- 6'-4"
SG: Crock-6'6"
SF: Patillo- 6'7"
PF: Taylor- 6'7" (he's the only off-sized, but he is a senior and versatile)
C: Blake- 6'10" (he will play PF in even bigger line-ups)

That's a Mephis-sized backcourt. Remember, UT had problems with that. Patillo, with his size as a guard, will also allow Coach Capel to run some 4-guard line-ups next year and press.

Doesn't the next signing period start on April 16th?

It could also look like this.

WW 6'4
Crocker 6'6
Patillo 6'7
Blake 6'10
Allen 6'10

Not starting, but I'm sure it would at times.

From what I hear Allen is a project, I doubt he will be starting anytime soon just based off of what I have heard...but what the Hell do I know anyways?

I know that is why I said "not starting", but they may be on the floor at the same time. If we can get Patillo. I say anybody they put in the post with Griffin is going to look good.

Somebody will almost have to be good as the other post. We have Wright, Griffin, Cannon, Allen, and maybe even Clark to choose from. That would be crazy if we couldn't get at least a little production from one of those.

I was really happy when I read this. Then I read this-

"Capel, Sooners get a good Juan"

That's so terrible. Terrible enough it was almost funny.

Another nice signing for Capel. I know Kentucky doesn't pull like they used to, but to beat out Kentucky and Kansas and other schools for Warren and now Patillo is a great sign.

He's supposed to be an inside-outside threat. Good athlete. Could make a big difference. You never know with JUCOs, though.

Read it this morning in the Tulsa World and couldn't be happier. This will give us some great size and if he's as good as advertised then that will take pressure off of Griffin and Warren and give us another scoring threat.
