"Fading light dims the sight,
And a star gems the sky, gleaming bright.
From afar drawing nigh -- Falls the night.
"Day is done, gone the sun,
From the lake, from the hills, from the sky.
All is well, safely rest, God is nigh.
"Then good night, peaceful night,
Till the light of the dawn shineth bright,
God is near, do not fear -- Friend, good night." - TAPS

It seems like I ve been preaching a bunch of our vets funerals lately..

This guy today served in Nam and had more awards than I ve ever heard of a guy having..Good man, my kids loved him like a grandpa..

I put together the slide show for him and learned a lot about him through the pictures I saw. Being a war vet is something I will never be able to fathom..the things that stay with ya forever..
