Does anyone have a list of the teams with the most victories this century? Seeing the quote from Mack below made me think he was incorrect. I thought I saw a lost of the top 10 some time back.

Here is the quote: "Brown’s squad has been the best in the country during the first decade of the 21st century."

Any help?

Not sure of the entire list but here is the Ou/tx comparison...

OU is 90-17 with 55-9 conf record, 6 BCS games in 8 years and 5 conf titles

Tex is 85-17 with 53-11 conf record, 2 BCS games in 8 years and 1 conf title

It's Wikipedia, so it may or may not be accurate:

Def not accurate just look at the OU and tx wins, I got those both from the schools websites

Perhaps Wiki is not counting our wins that were taken away and then given back by the communists?

OU from 2000-2007: 90-17
Stoops outperforms Bennie Owen and other turn-of-the-century coaches.

Actually, I think Brown's lackeys are using semantics in a very cute manner. When they say,

Here is the quote: "Brown’s squad has been the best in the country during the first decade of the 21st century."

My guess is that it's a reference to the Shorthorns winning the national championship once, or/and being ranked number 1 for any period of time.

They rely on two facts (or what can be argued as facts, anyhow):

1)The number one team is the "best in the country".

2)Texas has, at some point during the first decade of the 21st century, been ranked #1.

Really, that's all I believe they're claiming. I don't think they're making any claim about the best record 'n such. They're just *implying* the rest by their word choice.

It's rather retarded, really.

shouldn't oSu be on that list? I mean, they beat us twice and almost beat us 3 more times.

thanks, I'll take your answer off the phone.

They are probably discounting OU's record in 2000. The 21st Century actually began on January 1, 2001.
