Approximately 1974 years ago last night, the King of Kings arose from the borrowed tomb where His body had been hastily lain on the previous Friday afternoon.

On this morning, two of His female followers came to attend to His body and properly prepare it for burial. At first, they were greatly dismayed, thinking someone had made off with His body. They were met by an angel of the Lord who told them, "He is not here, He is risen."

This morning, celebrate these facts and know, He loves you, and He wants to share further miracles with you. That is why He came to live among us and freely chose to sacrifice Himself in your place.

it's the designation where the sun rises, and new days begin. the analogy being spring and rebirth.

that'd be my guess. i'm sure a little googling would turn it up.
