are getting ready to go into effect. As of April 15th, viewers who order pay per view movies and record them to their dvr's will have 24 hours to watch the event/movie. At that time it will be erased automatically. It will be erased exactly 24 hours from the time the movie/event is ordered.
Thus if at 8:00 am you set your dvr to record a PPV movie before you go to work and it records the "movie" at say 3:00pm. It will be erased at 8:00am the folowing day.
There is still discussion whether or not this will apply to HBO, Showtime etc....
It will apply to sporting events.
This applys to all cable and dish provider services
