Last Friday I purchased a new John Deere 7230 tractor with a 741 loader. I ordered it exactly how I want it, and it won't be here until next October (maybe sooner if they kick up production like they're supposed to).

So, from this point forward, the new "I'm a rich man" code will change from a "$43K Yukon" to a "$80K John Deere."

And yes, she thinks my tractor's sexy.

TIA.

Yeah, sweet, but you forgot the front end loader. I think that is important somehow. Picking up round bales or hauling away dead cattle, or a big dick subsitute?

all it needs is a blau-mit-weiss propeller and you'll have something, there.

Congratulations on your massive front-loader.

Air, PS, air-ride seat, Powerquad plus tranny with 16-speeds forward and reverse, left hand reverser, AM-FM w/CD, triple remote hydraulics, three-way hydraulic loader valve for grapple hooks on bucket, 96-inch heavy duty bucket, 2-spike bale loader, pallet forks, corner-post exhaust, and much much more.

Sounds almost identical to Scott's Quintisha unit from the hood.

Only Lid would paint it pink. And they are good little tractors......until you're brush hogging up to a fence or barn and the sumbitch won't stop.

Dude, it's an $80,000 tractor.

It comes with a computerized system that will call anything from quail to moose.

And it's a gun safe. Holsters are for guys without tractors and/or trucks.

Heh. The "Premium" version of this tractor will damn near do all that, and more.

All of the controls for the 3-point lift, hydraulics, draft, PTO, lights, radio, everything.....is on a small touch-screen monitor to the driver's right. No knobs, levers, switches or anything.

It has what they call "Greenstar" which is a GPS system that allows you to plant/till/plow/spray/etc. in perfectly straight rows with something like a 1/2-inch deviation over a mile. The cab is so well insulated it sounds like you're inside a Cadillac.

Gonna be a big switch from the open cab Kubota and 1981 Case 2090 for sure.

Have you looked into that system that plots moisture and crop quality stuff, then tells you how much fertilizer/water/insecticide to apply in each area? My boss was telling me about that, and it sounds awesome.

A friend of mine has a few of those, they are amazing. You can dang near get out of them while they are on GPS and just let them run. All you need is a tv.

1. There's a buddy seat in it for momma. No way in hell she's piloting this thing.

2. It has several power ports for the TV, laptop, etc.

3. Mini bar? No. Fully stocked bar with pretty barkeep? Yes.

4. Idol? I'd rather wire my nuts straight to the 24-volt system.

5. Crop moisture? Nope. I can always get out and kick the ground.

Heh. My great-granddad was a botanist in Germany. Has several species of plants named after him. Came to this country after The War. Couldn't get a university job because they didn't recognize degrees from German universities. Got jobs in greenhouses.

Young American kids would show up from the colleges to work there with graphs and charts of when and how much to water, fertilize, etc. etc. Great-granddad looked at them and said "or you could try just touching the dirt to see what the plant needs."
