Tribes, which, due to their sovereign status under federal law, can thus hire anyone they want without worrying about state law implications.

...also why they allow smoking in casinos BTW.

I agree with Homey on the smoking thing...

The Casinos need to clean up their act.

You think they would figure out that the Casino and drinks will make much more than having a Casino that is a Smoke Shop with Slot Machines.

I've tried to convince some folks if they opened a smoke-free casino, they would probably do very well with it. The problem is, the stats they have indicate their core customer base is around 70% smokers. I respond that they are ignoring the fact there are likely lots of folks who would come play if they didn't have to dry clean their jackets, wash their linen and take a shower when they get home to get the smoke funk off.

Maybe Aubrey McClenden should turn Total Environment into a casino, then.

Can anyone tell me what's the deal with all the Chickasaw and Cherokee Nation televison commercials? Are they engaged in some sort of underground war or something? I really want to know what the deal is.

Gamblers won't quit coming if they go non-smoking.

The first Casino to go no smoking will be jammed and turning away business.

Heck...one of them doesn't serve liquor or beer and they are jam packed nearly every night.

These new casinos make me ill, and they are going up everywhere.

Nothing says pride in your heritage like seeing your "tribe's" name in neon lights on the side of some 3rd rate "casino" or smoke shop.
