The Georgia Dome just got buzzed by what looks to have been a tornado. Scaffolding was swaying back & forth, some debris was falling down, & a few holes in the dome tarp. No injuries reported to this point.

I'm watching the SEC tourney right now and they just showed footage of the exterior of the Georgia Dome receiving some structural damage. I could never imagine being part of something like that, but thank goodness everybody seems to be OK; it definitely could've been a lot worse. They're about to resume play in a few minutes.

They postponed the last game for tonight, Georgia vs. Kentucky, because of the threat of more severe storms in the Atlanta area. Which makes it interesting as to how the SEC is going to make up that game, as well as play its two semifinal games. Talk now is that they will have the UGA-UK game Saturday morning, then have the Arkansas-Tennessee semifinal in the afternoon, then bring back the UGA-UK winner against Miss. State Saturday night. Another concern may be where; it's possible that the Georgia Dome may not be able to host because of the damage to and around the dome. Phillips Arena is a possibility, but they're booked for a concert tomorrow night. Ga. Tech is another, but its arena seats way less than the 30,000 or so people who booked their tickets for the tourney. Saturday will be an interesting day in the ATL indeed for the SEC.

Judging from the earlier "crowd" at the SEC tourney they could use any highschool gym

Interesting is right. Tourney has been moved to GT. Also, Kentucky and Georgia will play at noon today and then the winner will play AGAIN in the evening against MSU. And the crowd will be very limited--- only family, credentialed media, etc. allowed!
