Hurts like hell. Wish I could say I did it doing something manly like playing football or building a house, but alas, I tripped over my own feet coming down the stairs in Bizzell.

On the bright side, the soar throat I was getting doesn't seem to hurt as bad now :D

You got to hop on the good foot and do the bad thing. :D

That would explain the sprain, tho.

Did you roll it when you fell? Does it hurt down by the foot, or closer to the shin? If it's down by the foot, nothing to worry about, just try not to put too much weight on it, elevate it, ice it and wrap it. If it's a high ankle sprain, that will stick with you for a while.

i'm more interested in this "soar" throat. wow.

i had a bad sprain last fall, sucked. if it's the real deal get one of them hard plastic walking boots with all the crazy velcro straps. crutches are the suck, getta boot. YWIA.

Yeah, I rolled it pretty bad. Most of the pain is right below the joint though

Yeah, I really on that spell check crap a little to much. Homophone are NOT my friends.

You're lucky, then. KC is right, get yourself a boot and you'll be right as rain in no time.

Easier said than done at this point. I am trapped down in Bizzell till 2:00am.

I don't plan on getting up much though, I will just let everyone else take care of stuff tonight. I will just prop my foot up on my desk, and finish Cat's Cradle, and maybe start Against the Day

That should work. The wrap and ice portions of the treatment are to prevent swelling, but as long as you stay off of it you shouldn't risk doing any more damage.

Ditto on this advice.

Keep that leg elevated and take lots of aspirn. You don't want to get a blood clot and have to spend a better part of a year on Coumadin. Trust me.

I couldn't sleep.

My freaking knee woke me up.

At least I didn't run my shin into anything once I got out of bed.

I'm thinking your right though Bri...

It was probably a close call....

Once the sun comes up I'll be able to see the hot wheels and legos I missed.

A few years back I turned my foot all the way around backward when I took a nasty fall.

Believe me, when you turn it all the way around backwards, it gets your attention. ;) I'll show you my surgical scars sometime. :D

I bet you did it doing something more than tripping down one stair too. :D

Well, duh, you have to be doing something stupid to break yourself in that fashion. I actually had a co-worker break her ankle the same way, but she was just stepping out of the shower.
