ASICS - 3+ Years Later

Well, they've been worn out for awhile after I ran 5+ miles every other day in them. They are getting holes in them and they are starting to smell bad. They are this really ugly brown and black color too. Should I throw them out and just buy a new pair?

How long do your shoes last for running? Mine seem to wear out after 3 to 4 months, and they're getting to be high dollar.
