LINCOLN, Neb. -- Nebraska offensive lineman Andy Christensen was arrested early Saturday and accused of sexually assaulting a woman at a bar. Nebraska coach Bo Pelini said the junior has been suspended from the team.
A 23-year-old woman told police that Christensen approached her from behind and reached underneath her clothing.
Christensen was arrested outside the Brass Rail bar. He is accused of first-degree sexual assault, resisting arrest and failure to comply, Police Capt. Joseph Wright said. Wright said it was also unclear if Christensen had been drinking. Prosecutors are still to decide on formal charges and Christensen would be arraigned Monday, Wright added.
It was unclear whether Christensen had a lawyer. A phone call by The Associated Press to the jail where he was being held was not answered.
Pelini said he will review Christensen's status when more information is available.
"The charges against Andy are serious in nature and these types of actions will not be tolerated," he said.
Christensen started the first three games at left guard last fall before a season-ending knee injury.

I thought this would be about the USuC recruit charged with armed robbery. On a related note, JoePa U. gives up points when charges were dismissed against a player involved in an off-campus brawl . . .

I am so very sorry for Joe Pa. He is a much better coach than to deserve the group of numbskulls he is getting for his final few years.
I think he should strongly consider cashing in his chips and leaving these dolts to wallow in their own mire.

Yeah or the way Kate McEwen went down the stairs head first was enough to **** anybody off...I mean LP was justified just for her bleedin' on his Jordan's.

What is it that is inherent at NU that has produced so many women abusers? I have never heard of any college town as a whole, much less a University itself continue to provide an atmosphere that reports crime after crime year after year against so many women. And that's just the football team.

NU technically should scare the hell out of a young woman... Or anyone who eats at a Mexican restaurant.
