...is locking up the 4 seed and that first round bye. With as many injuries as we have the extra day of rest will do wonders for us, not to mention the advantage of getting to play a team coming off a hard-fought game the day before.

Yeah, that makes sense.

What are the predictions on who we will play from the talking heads...or anyone?

bri

We won't know until tomorrow's games are done. It's crazy the way that all 12 seeds were still up in the air going into the final weekend. Our conference is either really good or really sh*tty. :D

Injuries suck.

They really do, but I love the way we fought through them all year. To finish fourth in this conference with our best players missing games says a lot about the program that Capel is building here.

But Jeff Capel lost some game...and Nick told me that makes you a horrible coach???

It's a done deal now. We'll play Baylor. Baylor locked the 5 seed by winning and A&M losing. Unless you mean who Baylor will play.

Yeah, we don't know who they'll play yet.

Baylor will have to beat Colorado or Iowa State on Thursday for the privilege of meeting OU on Friday.

It will be CU if they don't win against NU tomorrow in Lincoln. Either way I can see Baylor easily getting the rematch with the Sooners.

It will be tough to beat them a third time but hopefully they will have to win another multiple OT game to get to us.

To run the table and win the conference championship OU will most likely have to play and defeat Baylor, Texass and Kansas... in that order.

I really didn't want any part of Baylor again, but it looks like that's how it's gonna be. Their guards scare the pants off of me, and it looks like they really took it to Tech today in Lubbock. Maybe though they'll be a little tired for the game Friday, after having to play the day before.

If Baylor is shooting the ball well, they are very tough.

If their shots aren't falling, they are very ordinary.

if we can get healthy we will wear them out inside. ALL DAY.

Meh, they'll probably have 10+ guys get 10+ minutes vs Colorado that Thursday. If anyone is built for the Big XII tournament, it is them with their depth.

i don't think the seed is that important. more important was not losing the MU game after we took ourselves off the bubble last wednesday.

conference tournament is real secondary to me.

For me, it's all about perception. When you're basically a middle-of-the-pack at-large team, anything you can do to distinguish yourself is good. Finishing fourth, even if it's via tiebreaker, puts us firmly in the field of 65 because it forces the committee to look at the head-to-head matchups between us and the teams we're fighting with for at-large bids from our own conference.

It's the old Raycom syndication network that ESPN took over. It basically means the games will be on channel 2. :D

FWIW, Lunardi has us as a lock now. I think we all already figured that but he is pretty accurate usually so there ya go

any moron (including Lunardi) can "be accurate" on the Saturday before the actual announcement. about 85 % of the field is ALREADY settled. so when the "brackatologists" brag about having some 95% rate within actual seed only means they picked the last 10 teams about 70%. and being a network wonk prolly gets leaked info.

he's a cheesy dork. typical ESPN fare. think about it.

Jerry Palm invented all this predict the bracket stuff about 8-9 years ago.

Damn, so much anger!

And it's actually a week before the Saturday before the actual announcement, which CBS gets to break first. But that's neither here nor there. ;)

no **** dude. Lunardi brags about his % which he's only accountable for until the Sunday announcement. at which point all but about 10 teams are vying for 5 or so spots.

that's my point, cool breeze.

Just imagine the shame Dick Vitale's mom must feel. Although she is probably proud of her grandchildren, little Duke Vitale and Krzyzchesky Vitale.

OK I was wrong about the opponent but not about having to survive in double OT to get to play OU! :D
