Pshaw, when have you ever been patronizing?

Or did you mean you're under the influence of tequila?

Soonerus

No, I have an appreciation of good art...PG's is good..

Heh. Patron. lol.

Actually, in the old sense, patronizing an artist is a good thing.

In the old sense, a patron was a person who paid an artist to create art for them. Prince Esterhazy was Haydn's patron - he paid Haydn's salary, and it was Haydn's job to write music for the Prince. So, having a patron was a sweet gig for an artist.

The Medici's were very patronizing, just ask Michelangelo.

PG's art skillz are like crazy good.

The only one I've seen like that was this Filipina chick that I meet online. And she like traded me two incredible oil paintings that I have on my walls for air fare and hotel visit to Thailand and Cambodia and Angkor Wat when she was a student. I wanted an oil painting of Angkor Wat through her incredible sight, but I never got that. She went into the advertising industry and I never heard from her again. She is probably a rich millionaire by now.

PG, some people have insight with their paintings and it goes far beyond that, just insight into the subject matter.

Like my former Filipina friend, I think you can apply that for whatever field you go into.

I think it is tremendous.

Anytime someone can do something that I can't do (which is most things) I respect the **** out of them. Nothing on this board has led me to any other conclusion than PG is an incredibly funny, charming, and talented young girl that one day I will be able to say "Yeah I used to post on the same message board as her"

Okay, that probably seemed a bit weird.

This chick was engaged to an American man (another online friend) at that time and he was trying to get her into the US by emailing the US embassy, which didnt' work out as neatly as planned.

Anyway, she starts winning awards with her advertising designs and she's no longer thinking of the US and her American man.

I think the moral of this story is that someone with skills and insight and ideas can sometimes find their niche, and it can be lucrative.

Not only can she paint, she manipulates this board like a master puppeteer. When she twitches her pinky, I jump. High. Really, really high.
