OK, first, using the National Enquirer for a source? Television news has sunk to new lows. Second, PATRICK SWAYZE IS 55 YEARS OLD??!?!

BigRedJed
3/5/2008, 01:30 PM
And yeah, definitely sad if it's true.

If that's really true, and Patrick himself didn't tell the Enquirer, someone's gonna have a big-*** HIPPA lawsuit on their hands

If it weren't for Swayze bombs then people would likely forget who the hell he is. It's probably the only thing that has kept his career afloat.

He should have got an Oscar for Road House...I couldn't have done any of those lines without cracking up, plus the greatest moment in cinema history when as he begins to throw a punch at a guy in the office and before the fist connects, the guys nose is already gushing blood. Also Donnie Darko was the ****.

According to Swayze, he DOES have pancreatic cancer but he's responding well to treatment and the Enquirer is full of it.

Not even cancer can defeat Patrick Swayze!

He just needs some Chuck Norris tears to cure that cancer. Unfortunately, Chuck Norris has never cried.:(

A 'small amount' of pancreatic cancer is usually like having a small amount of pregnancy.

pancreatic has the highest mortality rate of any cancer....survival rate more than a year is only like 4%, even when they catch it fairly early.

Patrick Swayze (http://imdb.com/name/nm0000664/)'s doctor has confirmed the actor has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer - but insists he's not as close to death as reports suggest. Tabloid and internet reports suggested the Ghost (http://imdb.com/title/tt0099653/) star was fighting for his life and had been given just five weeks to live, but his physician Dr. George Fisher suggests he's a lot more optimistic about the actor's recovery. In a statement issued to Wenn on Wednesday, Dr. Fisher says, "Patrick has a very limited amount of disease and he appears to be responding well to treatment thus far. All of the reports stating the time frame of his prognosis and his physical side effects are absolutely untrue. We are considerably more optimistic." The Dirty Dancing (http://imdb.com/title/tt0092890/) hunk's publicist Annett Wolf (http://imdb.com/name/nm1214298/) adds, "Patrick Swayze has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. Patrick is continuing his normal schedule during this time, which includes working on upcoming projects. The outpouring of support and concern he has already received from the public is deeply appreciated by Patrick and his family.".

yup, and he's pretty young to be getting it; i read that less than 4% of people that have it live less than 5 years with the majority dying in a year or less; pretty bad ****
