Here is the deal. I just got a new APC 350VA 200 Watt battery backup dropped off at my desk.
Hello. I use a laptop as my computer. I have three or four hours of battery backup all the time. What do I need with an extra 27 minutes? I don't think they thought this purchase through very well.

Crap. Would some mod be so kind as to change the title of this thread? It should read "Battery backup".

you can edit it, you just need to hit the "Go Advanced" button

and yeah, i don't really get the UPS with the laptop thing, unless you have external drives or monitors

I have an external monitor, but I can function fine without it. If the power is out too long, I'm just going to go home anyway.

Four outlets are surge protected only, four Battery backup + surge protection. Maybe they didn't know surge protectors are a lot cheaper than battery backups.

I have both at my desk . . . surge protector and battery backup.

I need to get a new batter backup for my pc at the house. The power supply in my pc likes to take its time powering back on after we lose electricity. It's like it has to reset itself or something.
