because the stations are in full StormWatch mode. 'parently, its sposed to rock and roll this evening (hail, twisters, microbursts, torrential rains, etc.), which will morph into blizzard conditions by drive time tomorrow.

The worst is when the break into coverage in OKC when there's a tornado watch in Tulsa and they talk to the viewing public as if they're talking to people in Tulsa. Hey dip**** people in Tulsa have they're own tv stations, they're not watching OKC stations so quit telling them to go get in their basements and get back to programming.

Just windy here in B.A.
I'm expecting this to simply be yet another overhyped "winter storm" forecast. They haven't exactly been dead on this winter with their winter storm predictions. (which is nothing new)

Do you have the Live at the Deli version or the studio version?

I thought Alabama tv stations were the only ones that cut into programming to talk endlessly about a heavy rainshower.

The weather guesser for the Birmingham NBC station was talking about the weather out in Oklahoma. He had a video of an obvious funnel cloud shot by a storm chaser near Oklahoma City. The idiot said, "I'm not sure what kind of cloud that is; maybe a wall cloud?"

I'll be getting my local weather here in central Alabama from ABC from now on.

Our Tulsa stations are already bragging about how the OKC station channel 9 caught a tornado on tape in Blaine county. Good stuff.

Yeah, I should have mentioned that. Didn't mean to minimalize your situation at all. My point was that our weather guys are melodramatic.

We'll feel the wrath of this system in Alabama late tomorrow night.

I couldn't let this thread slip away. Them there traylur parcs fotographics shore ahre nice.
Also, the wife and I have been watchin a movie and I was surprised to look out when the movie ended and see the whole outdoors covered in snow. Roads and everything. So we finally got the snow as predicted. The 1 to 3 inches may end up being more than that at this rate.

Hey Tulsa/B.A. area people. How wierd was this snow...I mean out at my house I've got maybe 6 or 7 inches. While I was watching the news a bit ago, they showed a shot from Hwy 75 and the grass had no snow on it at all. Odd the way the snow band just hovered over B.A., Coweta and Okmulgee.

There was snow at my house, maybe a couple of inches. About half way in to work this morning along 244 I noticed there was no snow on the ground.
