didn't he snort his old man's ashes?

that's beyond sick, even for a sick person.

As Dennis Leary noted:

Keith Richards saying that kids shouldn't do drugs....Keith Richards. Keith, we can't do anymore drugs. You already did them all. We're going to have to wait until you die so we can smoke your ashes!

At least Page and Plant don't run around with their "I just got back from vacation in Cancun" charm braids in their hair. Besides, the Stones haven't done anything worthwhile since Tattoo You.

He's kind of right about Led Zepplin IMHO.

I think Led Zepplin's work is fantastic...

However...

They didn't really keep it going for their fans like The Stones did.

The Beatles were enough of a disappointment to me personally that Led Zepplin doing the same thing kind of ruined my opinion of them in the Greatest of all time catagory.

I own everyone of their albums though....

I can't say that about The Stones.

I can about the Beatles though.

it's not like they kept putting out crappy stuff, they didn't want to be Led Zeppelin anymore without Bonzo

it's not like Robert Plant married some crazy chick and went all weird ;)

I know...

They all had their problems...

I just felt Led Zep didn't tour enough and that "The Song Remains the Same" was OK...

I enjoyed "In through the Out Door" and wished they had done a couple more albums after that one.

The re-union at Live Aid was enough to leave fans wishing they would get back together. Anyone could see that.

i really think Robert Plant was kinda tired of playing the old stuff.

they've done stuff since Live Aid though, for some reason i didn't see Page and Plant in the late 90's when they came through. i did see Robert Plant at Cain's a couple years ago. i'm very psyched at the prospect of them touring in the fall.

if you haven't, you might check out the Live at the Greek CD that Jimmy Page did with The Black Crowes a while back

Keith was the only actor in Pirates of the Caribbean who didn't need make up for his part.
