This is another one of those situations where I think how can a human be a defense lawyer for him and try to get him off of the charge. It doesn't matter what procedures or anything weren't right. he did it, he admitted it, why do we have to put the family through it? That makes me really sad.

Having worked in the legal field myself for quite some time, I can tell you that a lot of attorneys wont take cases defending scum bags. That being said; its no secret that every accused is entitled to a defense. A clever attorney would have taken his case and defended him well enough to make sure that he doesn't get an appeal but not well enough to get him off.
