. . . for the Tennessee punter who hit a parked car whilst driving under the influence and then drove off had he not been on scholarship?
Losing his scholarship was part of the sanctions levied by coach Phil Fulmer for was this kid's fifth (no pun intended) alcohol-related offense at UT. He was also suspended for 5 games. Had he been a walk on, would he have been kicked off the team or just suspended for say, 10 games? I am sure that his brother being an All-American from UT and his father an All-SEC there had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with him not being kicked off the Vols football team.
