Is there any thing I should go out of my way to see on my way to Watertown?

The Corn Palace (in Mitchell) might be exciting for someone like you. :hot: ;)

Corn Palace, Wall Drug, Mt Rushmore, Sitting Bull, Badlands...there's also an 1880's town recreation off I-90 somewhere East of Mitchell that also has Dances with Wolves movie props.

I think there's some place on the west side of the state that has woolly mammoth tracks or something like that.

I just drove through there a year or two ago, so I've done most of that. Not the most scenic state, but plenty to see off I-90.

I visited the Gateway home offices when I was there last time. Although the cow spots on the corrugated steel office buildings were amusing, I wouldn't recommend it.

Looks like a high of -3 in Watertown today. I think I'll wear a sweater.

Heh...the Dakotas are the only two states I haven't been to yet.

I had a good trip up, except for the rock that pitted my windshield. It's a warm -2 here. It doesn't feel subzero at all. Now I just need to figure out where to get a good steak. I really enjoyed the drive on U.S. 81. nothing but fields and cattle and that's hard to beat.
