If that was the old cars, there would have been a couple of "Big Ones" in the last 20 laps. The bumpers being aligned and the big wing seems to be helping keep them down.

WTH was Tony Stewart thinking?

He was saying earlier that he couldn't run high so he had to stay low. He was counting on Kyle to come draft with him, but Kyle backed off for some reason. It sounds like he had to let Newman and Kurt back in front of him when he (Kyle) dipped below the yellow. So...Stewart was hung out there.

I watched it again, and 18 did leave him hanging. I wonder if Kyle realized he didn't have the time/momentum to make his run and just decided to leave Tony hanging, seeing as where Kyle's brother was making a nice run. Surely not.

I thought the same thing because he was coming fast on the inside and then nothing. If Tony would have stayed up top he might have got it bc Newman is the type of driver happy with 2nd. You had to think Kyle was going to make a run though so Tony made the right bu wrong choice.

I too once hated it, but went to a race and got hooked. I'll be in the infield in Atlanta in a few weeks sitting on my truck drinking a cold one watching and hearing 45 cars go 190 mph right past my face and I'll think to myself, "How can people not like NASCAR?"

I'm gonna try and get him to hook me up for a 500 someday.

He's lived in Florida all his life and it's not his thing.

I just got back from a two day trip to West Virginny with an old bud of mine from 20 years ago who's 12 years older than me.

He said back in the day (late 60's - early 70's) he used to go to the Winston Cup races at Rockingham (he lives 20 miles from there), and party in the infield. He said he'd get there drunk, keep partying and never see the race.

Those must have been the days.

People still do that! Just not at the Rock.....

Trying to get infield at most major tracks is comparable to getting OU-saxet tickets....
