just said that he was actually an independent but has never voted for a republican.

wouldn't that make him a democrat?

Indecrat.

well he 's not a role model so the answer would be yes

2/15/2008, 04:19 PM
Not necessarily. Maybe he's open to the idea of voting for a Republican candidate, but he has never liked the Republican choice over the Democrat.

Maybe he votes Libertarian.

Maybe he votes for Ross Perot.

Maybe he votes for Ralph Nader.

Maybe he abstains from voting.

There's a lot of possibilities other than Republican and Democrat.

Does his independent comment make sense now?

He used to be a Republican several years ago by his own admission. I find it strange he'd have been a registered Republican and never voted for one. Nonetheless, he dropped his party affiliation and became an independent several years ago when the evangelical wing of the party started making a lot of noise. I get the impression he's more the libertarian sort, and the religious kooks drove him away.

This is the only reason I even know who the guy is.

GHP picked every probable outcome other than the actual outcome. He sucks at this game. ;)

I was watching CNN and they were interviewing him. He said something I thought was silly.

That's not too difficult for you to understand is it?

I would have thought the statement was equally silly had he said he always voted for republicans and had never voted for a democrat.

Yeah, I actually remember him relating some story about being a Republican because he's rich and chiding his mother for voting Democrat.

Weird.

What I noticed in the Che Guevara thread is that all people in the South Oval are assumed to have a raging bias such that they can't be even-handed about anything. Therefore, your statement makes no sense.

;)

they asked him about that and he said that voting for Obama wasn't doing to hurt him. Even after the interviever said that Obama was going to raise his taxes.

We may be avoiding the fact that he's simply an idiot. I don't know enough about the guy to say that though.

No, the difficult part to understand is why you felt the need to post it here.

Why do you care why he cares?;)

Because he wasted 30 seconds of my life by posting a topic that *could* have been interesting - but wasn't.

Now you've wasted 30 more. Damn, I hate you guys.
