Does anyone know the rules regarding sports hardship waivers? My daughter went to a really small public school until 8th grade and this year she's a freshman at a private school - they let her play basketball but they will not let her play soccer until she gets a sports hardship waiver approved. We have to prove that we didn't send her to the private school just to play sports. Her dad and I have been planning on sending her to that school all her life...we both went there, my mom went there, we sent her older brother there. She played competitive soccer for about 7 years but they didn't have a soccer team at the public school she attended from 1st-8th grade. My daughter REALLY wants to play soccer this year and I just spent $200 on soccer gear.

What are the requirements for a waiver? anyone?

You can't just go out for sports in Oklahoma?

I don't know if this helps, but this is what I found via Yahoo:
OSSAA (http://www.ossaa.com/partners/ossaa/eligibility/hardship_waiver_index.html)
