Know this, Melo; Receiving a citation for a moving violation is grounds for some serious a55-kicking in all branches of the military, especially if alcohol is involved (and I ain't saying it was in your case.) I say this 'cause of your stated intent to join up.
If the very sad link I posted for your perusal after your previous speeding adventure didn't wake you up, maybe the foregoing bit of info will. I hope so.

Addendum to the previous post:
In my profession, if it's a blatantly serious moving violation (which 89 in a 65 would qualify), and/or you have a history of moving violations, then the brass would go ape**** over it. If you get nailed for going 40 in a 35, most of the time, they just give you a bit of a tongue lashing and that's it.

DUI= career over!

The last time I drove over 80, I was driving my daughter to the emergency room.

Slow down. You could seriously screw up your life and the lives of those around you.

Now, I can see going that speed if you're making a, for instance, OKC to Albuquerque run and you'd rather it only take 8 hours instead of 11. Not in traffic inside a city, though.

Damn you, mental editing!

Why is huge ***-ticket so funny?
