You know, that Oriental hot sauce with the rooster on the bottle?

I've really started liking that. I put it on eggs in the morning, among other things. Yummy. It's kind of hot but very tasty.

Anyone else like it?

I've never tried it but I like the ocassional hot sauce.....as does my step son. How does it differ from, Tabasco and the like?

And yes, I misspelled it in the poll. Deck of cards. Deal.

It's thicker and not as tangy-vinegar flavored as Tabasco. More like super hot ketchup.

I finally worked up the courage to try it a while back. Pretty good. Not a lot of heat, but enough to let you know it is there, and flavor wise, tastes pretty damn good to.

I don't know, dude. If you use a good little bit it's pretty warm.

No kidding. And on that Garlic Chili sauce King Crimson is talking about, one time I went to a Chinese place and they had chips with that in a container beside it. I thought it was salsa, they had everything else in the world on the buffet. After the first bite and 10 glasses of tea I had changed my opinon on it being salsa.

The hot mustard is mostly horseradish, I believe. Sriracha is awesome stuff. Great for the spicy enthusiast with a desire for a bit more flavor as well.

It is teh win... I think they use a lot of Wasabi in the hot mustard.

I like it, too.

My non-asian favorite hot sauce is Cholula. Tabasco and Loiuisiansa Hot Sauce can suck it.

OK, that misspelling is too funny to edit.

If any of you people ever get some brass ones, soak some chicken wings in this and grill/bake. "Brass oned people like their chicken spicy".

Hot mustard is dry mustard + water. Adding horseradish is an entirely different thing.

I've eaten with this Vietnamese dude at work a couple of times. You know the hot sauce that is mostly seeds at the chinese places? You know - the red stuff in the little bowl with the little spoon? He asks for the hot version of that. The stuff they don't bother putting on the table because it's too hot. I haven't bothered trying it.

Hell, I don't know. We went to some Vietnamese/Thai place on Classen in the middle of little saigon. They all had Pho. I don't know what Pho is, but it looked too soupy for me. I got the Pad Thai instead. It was OK but not as good as Sweet Basil's. Of course that's the only place I have to compare Pad Thai with so maybe that isn't saying much.

at our favorite sushi place, they put this $hit in a specialty roll: the volcano roll. They use the sauce in the lava.

But I'm totally fine with telling you to kiss my pasty English butt.

I don't eat a whole lot of oriental food. However when I do eat at a buffet type chinese restaurant I always get the fried/battered sweet and sour pork or chicken (you know the mystery meat)....and I load it down with that sriracha sauce. It rocks.

It is teh win... I think they use a lot of Wasabi in the hot mustard.

If the mustard is green, it IS Wasabe (which means it ain't mustard.)Wasabe is a sort of radish, I'm told, similar to the Daikon.
I do love me some 'sabe, Kimo.
