www.mmamania.com is reporting that Nick Diaz will indeed fight BJ Penn at UFC 137. The fight doesn't sound that crazy to me though. It seems rather logical actually. I guess all the crazy predictions were way off.

I am sorry my first vBookie event ended with everyone losing, but as someone mentioned, the end to Shields/Ellenberger was surprising.

I hope that the unexpected finish does not dissuade you from partaking in the next one. I'll do UFC's next weekend event and keep it open till the its scheduled start.

Bellator 50 only got approximately 114,000 viewers. This is the worst for any Bellator event on MTV2. I think the UFC event, the time change and the Mayweather fight all had something to do with it.

MMAMania is reporting that the UFC will go back to their original start times. That would be 9:00PM for the Pay Per View portion here in Oklahoma. I thought it was crazy for them to mess with the original time to begin with. The switch back is supposed to take place at UFC 141. I don't know what to make of the article though.

Apparently GSP got really mad at Diaz's comments after he won his fight with Penn. It looks like the UFC is going to try to put Diaz vs. GSP on Super Bowl Weekend. Carlos Condit has agreed to step aside. I guess Diaz's trash talk has got him the next fight with GSP for the title.

I am super excited for this event tomorrow night. I think it will be really neat to see the UFC on Fox. I think Fox will do a good job with it. I just wish that the Clay Guida vs. Ben Henderson fight were also on the fox part of the card. All of the undercard fights will be on www.foxsports.com, so that should be cool.

They did. Starting next year Fox will have four events a year. The Ultimate Fighter is moving to FX next year as well. I believe the contract between the UFC and Fox is for seven years, so we should get to see quite a few UFC events on Fox.

also from what i understand... the Fox events beginning next year will feature 2 fights per show with either Fueltv or FX providing the undercard bouts... it appears to be a sweet deal for fight fans... i cant wait!

The Fight on Fox was a PR disaster for the UFC. The last thing they needed was their Champ, pimped as "the baddest man on the planet" getting ko'd in 1 minute.
If you're trying to win over new fans, you needed a Griffin vs Bonnar type of fight. Instead what you got was 1 minute of sloppy boxing and a guy getting ko'd by a looping, technically ugly, glancing blow.

I love MMA and I love the UFC, but that fight could not have helped their cause much.

Great fights!

Hendo looked very impressive with his punching. He was gassed starting in the 3rd round but he tore Shogun up! Two very tough fighters.

lesnar's road thru MMA was the most difficult any fighter has ever taken... he stepped right into the highest level of competition possible... and fiished with a 5-3 overall record.... beating 2 former champs on the way... you may not like him... but he's a hell of an athlete... and proved it several times...

Probably best for Brock to hang em up....definitely a disappointing showing last night. Overreem looks pretty legit though. Dos Santos will have his hands full, and he'll have to play up his quickness advantage.

Could not believe the Hendricks/Fitch fight. Hendricks just caught him clean on the button with that big left hand.

Disappointed in Nam Phan against Hettes. I like Phan as a fighter, but he was dominated the whole fight by Hettes.

Gustafsson doesn't really look the part, but he can definitely fight.

Finally, the impressive clinic in boxing by Nate Diaz was something to watch. Great accuracy by Diaz. Still didn't understand why Cerrone with all those leg sweeps didn't try once for any sort of ground and pound after the fact.

I think Fox is just early in the deal. It is still the first month since the new deal with Fox has been in place. It is different, but I think it will get better over time.

The main thing that stinks right now is that Fuel TV has a lot of UFC content on it. Cox doesn't have Fuel TV in HD. I watch the regular Fuel TV channel on channel 265. It has really good content. I just wish it was available in HD with Cox.

I thought it was a really good night of fights. Miller looked really good in beating Guillard. The fight between Neer and Ludwig was really good, but I wish it lasted a little longer. I was happy that Rivera was able to end his career with a win.

I'm tired of some fans and fighters saying Condit ran the whole fight. He fought a smart fight, but not standing in front of Nick (ala Frank Shamrock) and getting peppered to death up against the cage.

Between Rampage not getting close to making weight and the way he fought, it makes you question his commitment to fighting. I know he said he wasn't retiring, but I bet he wont be around for too much longer. He really hasn't looked the same since The A Team/retiring.

I will have to watch the fights tomorrow. I DVR'ed the event. I got sick while watching the event and had to go to the emergency room. I had the nurses give me the results though.

The result was changed to a majority draw. They tabulated the scores wrong initially. There will be a rematch now to determine who will actually fight Benavidez for the first UFC Flyweight title. I am pretty sure that I am correct on this. I have been sick since friday so I may be wrong, but I don't think that I am.
