Cain Velasquez was able to beat Junior Dos Santos in the third fight between the two tonight. Cain remains the UFC Heavyweight champion.

Tito Ortiz is injured. His fight with Rampage is off for now. Now they are moving the rest of the card off of PPV and it will be on Spike. I think it will be a really good card for free television. I believe they will still have three title fights on the card.

Steve Carl was able to stop Josh Burkman to win the WSOF welterweight title. The fights for this event were on the NBC Sports Network.

Dominick Cruz vs. Renan Barao is supposed to take place at UFC 169 in February. For the longest time Cruz has been the champion, but has been inactive. Barao has been the interim champion for over a year now, I think. I think it should be a good fight.

UFC Primetime returns tonight for the fight between Hendricks and GSP. This series is setup very similar to the way boxing does their 24/7 series. I think it will be right before The Ultimate Fighter tonight. I really enjoy the series. If you are not watching anything else, you should check it out.

GSP has been putting out videos of him training for his upcoming fight. I think this is really cool. Hopefully others will enjoy this video. This is from October 28. I think this could very well be his toughest fight to date. It looks like he is taking the fight serious.

Eddie Alvarez is once again the Bellator lightweight champion. He was able to win a split decision over Michael Chandler. It was a very close fight. Alvarez was able to avenge his loss to Chandler. It was a really good fight.

Joe Warren was able to win the Bellator Bantamweight tournament tonight. Cheick Kongo was able to win the Bellator Heavyweight tournament tonight. I thought it was a pretty good event tonight.

I believe this week marks 20 years that the UFC has been around. Anyways the UFC put this fight online to be viewed for free. It may only be for this week, but it is really cool either way. If you have never seen this fight before, it is really good. This is Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva from earlier this year. If you have the time, I recommend watching it.

GSP was able to win a split decision over Johny Hendricks. He retains his UFC Welterweight title. I thought GSP won rounds 2, 3 and 5. I thought he won the fight 48-47. A lot of people seem to disagree though. It sounded like GSP might retire now. He seemed to be hinting at it in the post fight interview. It was a really good fight either way.

I had GSP winning 3-2 also, people want to look at the damage on GSPs face but whether we like it or not, all that is taken into consideration is who won each individual round. GSP also landed more strikes and takedowns in the fight. If the decision had got to Hendricks I wouldn't have argued, but you don't take the belt from the Champ on a split decision usually

I thought GSP definitely won the second round. I only had Hendricks winning like a minute of the second round. I respect your opinion though. I know there are a lot of people who still disagree with me.

Man, it's nice to hear some sanity on this discussion. My facebook feed was lit up with people screaming about the "horrible decision". Dana White fed that monster too. Hendricks landed some huge shots but thats not all there is to MMA. Like Collier, I thought it could go either way and was even surprised that GSP got the call but I thought he won it by a slim margin. If Hendricks hadn't let him back up and just continued g&p, he would have won.

Thought Hendricks clearly won 2 and 4. GSP 3 and 5. All came down to the 1st. I think Hendricks did just enough in the first by getting up within 10 secs of getting taken down, then getting his own take down and controlling gsp for longer. Could see how the fight could be called the other way because after all it is a 10 point system. Pride or any other judging it would be Hendricks based upon damage. Hendricks shouldn't have coasted the 5th round though, you have to really beat the champ to get the belt from him. (Except for Edgar vs Penn 1 in Abu Dhabi. That was a clear 48-47 Penn)
Think Hendricks takes him in the rematch.

Anderson Silva had surgery last night on his broken leg. The UFC website says that he will be out 3 to 6 months. I think it will be much more like six months. That break looked nasty last night.

Based on damage, Lawler should have won, but I was thinking the judges would give Hendricks the advantage based on the last fight debacle. I was a little surprised Hendricks won, but happy for him.

Damage has almost nothing to do with points. A cut can happen with one punch. It was 2-2 going into the 5th and Hendricks was the clear winner of 5. I didn't see 1 being near as close as you guys have said.

Heard Hendricks on the radio yesterday. He blew out a biceps 10 days before the fight and didn't go to the doc because he didn't want the fight to get cancelled. Had a surgical repair and said they are expecting a 3 month recovery He also fractured a shin in the first round of the fight Explains a little bit of how things went down.

Didn't get to watch the fight, but my first thought of hearing that Johny lost his belt to a split decision was surprising to me. You know that taking a belt usually has to be done by an KO/TKO/Tap/unanimous decision. Pretty good article I found below.

Robbie Lawler will have his next Title defense against Rory MacDonald at UFC 189 in July. I think this is the best matchup for Lawler. I thought he did enough to win in the previous two fights against Hendricks. I would like to see him fight somebody new before a third fight happens.

Frankie Edgar was able to beat Urijah Faber by decision today. The fight was in the Philippines, which explains why it took place so early here.

Chris Weidman put Vitor Belfort on blast at the weigh ins. They interviewed both fighters after the weigh ins. He mentioned how Belfort had elevated testosterone levels when he got tested by the commission. Weidman seemed really mad.

Daniel Cormier was able to beat Anthony Johnson last night to become the new UFC light heavyweight champion. Jon Jones got stripped of the title a while back because of all of his drug problems.

Both Shamrock and Kimbo made weight for their fight tomorrow night. Ken actually came in under 205 pounds at the weigh ins. Kimbo weighed in the 230s I think. I am a little excited for this fight. I mainly hope Ken doesn't get too hurt. He is in his 50's and still fighting. The fight is free on Spike tomorrow night. It should be interesting.

I made a gentleman's bet with my FIL last week that Holly would take Ronda out. Not trying to take away what Ronda has accomplished, but it was just a matter of time before somebody watched enough tapes to exploit a one trick pony.
