So, how often do all of you replace your pillows?

I'm talking with my father-in-law the other day about allergies and he states that they change their pillows every 6 months because of fecal matter.

The first thing out of my mouth is, why are people ****ing on their pillows!

He then proceeds to explain that it's dust mite feces. That's just a little nasty when you stop & think about it.....

Needless to say, we have new pillows this week.:)

What? There's no hillbilly dust mites?:D

I thought it was ALL a little weird as well, but since I have allergies, I figured I'd give it a shot...

What about using pillow covers? You zip your pillow in these, then use your pillow cases..... If you had issues, you can then change just the covers, which is much cheaper than replacing pillows.

i have pretty bad allergies, but i rather like my pillow. I only replace pillows when they get all squarshed.

You do know that you can wash pillows, right?

Just throw some tennis balls in the dryer with them so they fluff back out.

After the dust bunnies take a few ****s on them.

I've given this a lot of thought and I think I have a solution.

Don't they have someplace in Russia or the old Soviet Union where you dip in a pool and all these fish eat the dead skin off your body. That may be a better way of dealing with those bed bugs than just changing your pillow (or mattress) every six months. It could also be environmentally friendly. All those pillows and mattresses thrown away can't really be good for the environment.

When I used to use a fishing tube in my dad's pond those perch loved to yank on leg hairs and nibble at air bubble under the seat of the tube.

So, how do you get all the hair on the tennis balls to lay down afterwards?
