Specifically, a Friday/Saturday in May. Any suggestions? Attractions, restaurants, etc.?

I'd say try to catch a show at Red Rocks, that amphitheater is awesome.

where in Denver?

Thinking about staying downtown. Planning on a Rockies game Saturday night possibly.

If you're only there for a weekend and staying downtown, you'll spend most of your time driving to and from the airport. ;)

I've never spent any time in Denver but I had a layover at the airport on Friday - could barely see downtown a minute or so before landing.

there's ton of stuff on the 16th Street Mall. I only lived there a year, King Crimson is the guy to talk to.

Rockies games are fun, the Bluebird Theater is a cool place to catch a concert. There's a flight museum in the Lowry Development near 11th and Quebec. It's pretty cool.

You could take a tour of the Coors Brewery, that was cool.

I'd go Lodo myself, tons of places to hang out, you can do the theme restaraunts (espn zone, hard rock, MTV house) lots of clubs, microbreweries. If you catch a rockies game, you're right there

there's a train that runs from the train station downtown to Winter Park. It's a cool and fun way to go skiing.

How different would these suggestions be if the thread was titled things to do in Denver when you're dead? Is that even an option that requires distinction?

Or am I missing an inside joke. Again. For like, the 7th time.

That doesn't even make any sense. What else would you do when you're dead?

Duh.

http://www.westword.com/

has restaurant reviews by area of town, calendar for "cultural events", music, clubs, whatever. not a bad link to save or place to start. Rockies game is a good time, and lots of stuff to do around LoDo and not feel tied to your car. easy to get around and the newish light rail is great.

depends what you like. Los Cabos II is a pretty nifty, somewhat divey south american seafood place downtown. lot of good restaurants.

If you don't mind all the hippies, Boulder isn't too bad a town. Unfortunately, I DO mind all the hippies.

Your wife had to put up with a lot of them back in the day, didn't she?
