apparently it was originally slated for release a week before Christmas last year, but with Warner's 'move' to blu-ray a great deal of their titles got backed up so they could be 'cleaned up' for blu-ray release.

Director Steve Rash lavishes his energies on re-creating the Depression era, but the movie's many sight gags fall embarrassingly flat.
