Anyone else use these? He carries this thing around him like Linus with the dusty blanket. In a meeting, he'll sit there with it open and scribble notes in it that he never refers back to.

15 or 20 years ago, it was a way to stay organized. Now, it just looks like a worn-out, outdated relic of the past with receipts and crap sticking out of it.

I carry a log book with me everywhere I go, and usually take notes when needed.

It's similar, but less so.

I use a day timer when I'm in meetings and when I call on customers. I transfer the useful data to my Palm when I get back to the office.

I scribble notes on whatever piece of paper I have handy. I usually don't ever read them again. So, it might as well be your bosses' daytimer.

I use a Franklin planner. Though I am going to be beta tester for a Ipaq PDA for syncing with our system.

Unless you have special dispensation, we are not allowed to use Blackberry's and such and sync email due to security concerns. To get an idea on our security - we just Upgrade to XP from NT about 2 years ago.
