Great, now I lose my "scientific" rating.

I am surprised that you fellow Okies never had the Dewberries, or that you don't like them. We used to pick them by the side of the road and my mom would make cobbler out of them. MMMMMM Good eatin there. (that or I'm a hayseed ;) )

Other - Huckleberries.
Yes, seriously. Where these grow wild up in God's Country (Idaho), if you find a patch you never tell or someone else will be there pickin' 'em. Huckleberry tea, jam, syrup, pie, you name it...it's the best!

Sometimes the better smarmy breakfast joints in places like Sun Valley and Jackson Hole will have huckleberry sauces and syrups...OMG. :pop:

The only berries that come close are strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.

Now that is the tops. I remember when I served as a missionary up in Bear Lake Idaho, they fed us huckleberry syrup, raspberry jam, and raspberry shakes. Good times.

I remember hearing how secret the Huckleberry patches are kept as well.

I'm suprised we haven't had any victims of a pyramid scheme claim the acai berry as their favorite.

Good blueberries are the best. The crappy little things we get around here for $30/pound...not so much.

Bilberry...? Is that a hillbilly thing?
