I was number 54 when I voted at 7:15 this morning. Looks like it might be a good turnout.

So wait . . . can registered independents vote today?

I guess I can vote on everything but the party-related office races right?

I'm seeing mixed messages on the sites I'm looking at.

Anyone know for sure?

Independents don't vote in primaries here in Colorado.

Even if there are other items to be voted on?

i didn't give you very good information here...and it's not very helpful. Colorado has a caucus system and it's closed to independents so i've never been to one.

can't speak to other states whether there's other stuff on a ballot.

sorry Bob.

Since Oklahoma has a closed primary system, Independent voters will only be allowed to vote on local issues and will not be able to vote on any of the presidential candidates today, Clingman (http://www.newsok.com/keysearch/?er=1&CANONICAL=Michael+Clingman&CATEGORY=PERSON) said.

As it should be. This primary is for the parties to select their candidate.

#50 @ 7:30 A.M. One of the ladies punched a button on the machine prior to letting me slide my ballots in; and it commenced to making more noise than the old video arcade, and spit out a long-arsed stream of paper. I tried to joke with her about if I should worry about my vote counting. She didn't see the humor (must've been the delivery). :O

I don't get to vote until March 4th, but the Democratic side might not be settled by then. Hopefully my vote will actually count for something since my votes have meant very little since the candidates I back always lose the my state in the general election. This dates back all the way to Jimmy Carter losing Oklahoma in 1976. One day I hope that my vote for President will actually count.

One of the ladies said she had never seen so many men voting.....I suppose Hillary can do that.

371--which is a fascinating number, as there is also a school board race, so the machine should count two ballots per voter, assuming all vote for each race.

hey, Kucinich is still in the race, right?
