Well, they only beat two teams with winning records IIRC.

And they fact they came into the Super Bowl as an Underdog ought to say something. Lookit, they were a great team.

But they were also very lucky. I'd bet that all four of Pittsburgh's Super Bowl teams in the latter part of the decade were better than the 72 Phins.

Don't forget that a SOONER played on that team - Big Jim Riley.

I'm kinda torn here, being a lifelong Cowboys fan. It was hard to watch them get humbled by the Skin's in the NFC championship after pulling it out of their rears against the 49ers. Then Miami shows up and outlasts Billy Kilmer and the rest of the "Over the Hill Gang" in the lowest scoring Super Bowl ever. To think it would lead to what we have today........

If only the Bears had finished off Marino and the fins back in 1985......<sigh>

And yes, I am glad to see that New England didn't set a new 19-0 standard. I'm beginning to think there's been a little more cheating in their recent past with secret game filming, than originally admitted.

Somebody is going to get thrown under the bus on these supposed videotapes of the Rams. The Pats would have had an astersik anyway, so them losing is no big deal.

Agreed; i believe their opponents had a winning percentage of less than .400 for the season
