For those down here in whornston, or anyone else interested, OU will be playing in the Houston College Classic this year at Minute Maid Park. I went to this thing a few years back with some Baylor buddies of mine, and it is a great time with some good college baseball. Check the link for the teams and times. I recommend getting the full three-day pass and staying to watch as many games as you can.

That is going to be some stiff competition! It will be good for our boys to see some Big XII teams early in the season!

SEE...not play!

Well I was planning on listening to it online, and wonderful cstv's oklahoma all-access hasn't loaded the game. Real glad I paid $10 to listen to things on-line. Now I'm stuck with gametracker.

According to game tracker OU is losing to Rice 7-2 in the top of the 9th inning with Rice up to bat and one out.

OU did not swing the bat well at all today! Credit due to Rice pitching, but we took some bad hacks.

NICE! Kicking some Rocky Top *** was be good way to finish the weekend. Do you think Bell(our pitching coach from Tenn) will have any inside info on them that might help us get an edge?

Just got home from the stadium, great game. That play at the play in the 9th was sweet. If anyone is in town tomorrow, go see the game. Great seats and great stadium.

What happened on the play at the plate? DETAILS!

What happened on the play at the plate? DETAILS!

Bottom of the 9th, a UH player rips a single high off the LF porch - hits it so hard and it's so shallow there at MMP that he is held to a single. 2 outs, and another deep hit to the left-center gap. LF takes a diving stab at it and misses by a few feet. Smart play since he had the CF right behind him backing him up.

UH player is charging around the bases and the CF throws a frozen rope and hits the cutoff man in the infield. I think the UH player might have stumbled around 3rd but I can't really remember, it was very crazy in the area I was sitting. He tried to go around and behind the catcher to tag home plate but the catcher already had the ball and just played tag at that point. He was meat at that point.

Very nice! I am taking it that the OF who threw the ball was Aljay Davis and that is big that he is making plays out there for us. He played two bagger all of last season. JT Wise our transfer Catcher from LSU should be able to pick up where Jackson Williams left off last year.

yeah, that play at the plate was greatness

i didn't see the houston player trip going around 3rd or anything, i just think they were trying to win and didn't hold him at 3rd when they should have. ball beat him to the plate by about 5 steps or so

Could anyone tell me if Houston and Tenn. are any good? Will those be good wins this season?

Collier11

All I can tell you is that Tenn is 4-3 with a win against Tex and losses to us, tech, and morehead st...they were picked 6th in the SEC

With Houston, they are 4-3 with a win against Tech and losses in extra innings to us, Rice, and they lost to Pacific early in the year. They were picked 5th in Conf USA

I didn't either but that's what I read over at a UH board.

Not sure but they're usually solid programs and play in good conferences for baseball.
