Hey now, Jeff Weaver helped win our first World Series since 1982. I hope the Mets don't pay him $150 mil for 6 years, that would overprice the already ridiculous market for pitchers...where guys famous for mediocrity fetch $8 mil a year.

Steinbrenner's gonna have to fire his sons for not getting Johan in Pinstripes. I like the trade, George can read how Johan is tearing up teams on the other side of town.

This is the best thing that could have happened for the Yanks. They keep their young promising talent and Santana did't go to the dirty Red Sox.

George could have delt some prospects from the farm. The Mets traded some no name Dominicans to get him.

He obviously couldn't have seeing as how he offered more than just some farm prospects and they still didn't go for the trade.
