Not necessarily my good Mongo. The higher urinals make for a more ‘direct’ stream thus causing the dreaded splatter effect. Low urinals lessen the angle of impact making for a much smoother transition from free flight to waterfall without the undesirable splatter.

After much consideration I must change my answer. The higher-mounted ones are much easier to rest your chin on during a trip to drunky town. Urinal cakes smell so much more pleasing that way.

My guess is cost. The all-the-way-to-the-floor ones would take more materials and be more expensive to manufacture.

I find the biggest problem is when I have my gun pointed directly at the target and the barrel hasn't quite fully opened. Thus causing shot to go to either side at approx. a 45 degree angle. It's really embarrassing when you hit the shoes of the feller next to you.

Yep.

On the wall mounted ones, it's basically a constant stream hitting the porcelain and causing splatter.

At least on the urinals that go all the way to the floor, the pee droplets tend to separate from the stream, thus, lessening the possibility for splatter.
