Has anyone seen it yet? It just opened in OKC this weekend. I saw it last night and loved it on so many different levels.

Not yet. If it doesn't show up in Lincoln this week, I'm going to make a trip to Omaha to see it.

Great movie! DDL was brilliant, as usual.

I plan on reading the book.

Saw it on the WGA screener.

DDL has the Best Actor Oscar locked up.

I thought it rocked No Country out of the theater (or home theatre, IMC)

And that final scene?!

"I'm FINISHED!"

I wish they would go ahead and release it in more than one theatre already.

Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead does the score, so it's already got that goin for it...

Jonny Greenwood is kind of a deranged genius.

And that final scene?!

"I'm FINISHED!"

Wasn't that the perfect ending?!

What a movie...my friend and I dissected it for about an hour immediately after we saw it.

The back and forth between Plainview and preacher boy was classic.

The score was absolutely original and astounding. Can't say enough about it.

Great movie! DDL was brilliant, as usual.

I plan on reading the book.

Careful with the book, though....it's very different. The movie isn't even a reinterpretation of the novel. The movie takes only a portion Sinclair's novel, molding that portion it into what you see on the screen.

The novel focuses on the relationship between the Plainview character (whose name is different in the book) and his son, who is sympathetic to the oil field workers and socialist causes.

LosAngelesSooner

Well, that's completely understandable! Shoe cobblers are the devil. PEACH cobblers, however, are the DE-LICIOUS! :D

This was a pretty sweet movie, although DDL reminds me a little to much Magnum-era Tom Selleck for comfort.

I thought it was kinda boring myself and I was pumped to see it. I'll have to watch it again.

That movie changed the way I look at bowling alleys forever. Also, I wish someone would do to Richard Roberts what the main character did to the shyster preacher.

Every time I go fishing, I say "there will be blood shed here today" before I make my first cast. I have done this for many, many years.

Is this movie about angling?

Noodling.

Sweet. So Daniel Day-Lewis plays the part of a noodler in this one I guess.

Man, that dude's got some range.

I would have enjoyed There Will Be Blood so much more had I not been in the same screening as a pair of, ahem, urbran couples who didn't let the fact that they weren't actually sitting together stop them from carrying on a conversation throughout the movie as if they were at home. Oh, and answering their loudly ringing cell phones. Oh, and one of them had their infant child with them.

Ah, stereotypes. You're stereotypes for a reason.

Meh, I'm adverse to stabbing, and they looked kinda stabby to me.
