I'll go by each year

1999-Josh Heupel in the Bowl game. I think he set records no one will touch

Hon Mention Quentin Griffin in his first game against Iowa State(I think) I think he got about 100 yards that game but he really showed some stuff even if it was against a weak ISU team.

2000-Too many to pick from. Quentin Griffin's 6 TDs against Texas.

2001 Tie with Roy and Jason White against Texas. Both of those 2 took over that game.

2002-Brandon Everage in the Colorado or ISU games. He was a monster in those games.

2003- I was going with Jason White against Texas, but the obvious pick is Strait against LSU. He was the best player on the field in that game. And had one of the best games in OU history.

2004-Clayton against Colorado. He made like 2 or 3 circus catches.

2005-Can't really think of one.

2006-Thompson against Nebraska in that final drive that put the game away.

2007-Lofton against Missouri is a good one.

Jason White's 5 TD's at College Station was a much bigger deal in 2004 than 2003

AD's yearly abuse of OSU was pretty cool. 2006 was greatness with those two loooong TDs

2004 against Texas was really nice

Q against Texas in 2000 of course, but 2002 also

Woolfolk was also pretty awesome in the 2001 Texas game. i think he had a pick and a blocked FG

I actually think one of White's best performances was when he stepped in against TX for Nate. I dont have his stats and I dont think they were all that flashy, but his ability to step in and run the option really turned that game in our favor. It was one of his gutsy-est performances imho.

What about that guy Jt Thatcher - he seemed to make big plays after big plays in the biggest games. Game changing plays

those two option pitches to Q (that he audibled into) were sweetness

White came in and did not make any errors along the way, completing 16 of 23 passes for 108 yards, and ran 12 times for a team-high 38 yards. Griffin, who had minus-1 yards before his 17-yard option run, finished with 27 yards.

I think he had something like 50 yards rushing and 80 yards passing or so but he was gutsy. The stats weren't impressive at all in that game but he and Roy Williams won that game.

Trent Smith - 2000 big 12 champ game -vs- KSU...without him we lose and dont win the CHAMPIONSHIP... Go back and review it, big catch after big catch when nobody else was holding on to the ball......

Hands DOWN. OU had 385 yards of offense in that game. 374 of those came from his arm (w/ no turnovers), all while KSU was drilling him into the turf time & time again (only time I've ever seen anybody get beat up worse was Hybl vs. KSU the next year). If he didn't do what he did, we'd have gotten flat out drilled. I have never seen the fate of a game rest on one player's shoulders as much as that one did (a point Danielson made in his pre-game remarks, FWIW).

I know it's early, but wasn't it great to see Bradford's awesome outing vs. miami this year. 19 of 25 for 205 yds 5 tds 0 ints.
You have to consider that a terrific showing from a freshman QB in only his second game. Wow.

MK was a monster that day. This effort gets my vote.

If only the guy coulda rolled out for a Fiesta Bowl or two. :(

I once drank an entire six pack of beer about an hour before kickoff and didn't have to pee until halftime.

... I think it was the 2003 Bed-lame game.

All of these are good. Do they stick out like a Tinker Owens against Nebraska in 1972, Joe Washington in 1975 against Missouri or a Keith Jackson against Nebraska in 1986?

The Roy Williams game is right up there with any game any OU player has ever played. Jason White had games up there also.

There was one mention already, but AD's game against UT in 2004. UT had a great game plan to stop Jason White and the passing game, but they had no answer for AD - what did he have, 225 yards? It seemed he was running in the open field on every play. He wasn't even the starter yet.

In no particular order, here are a few that I can think of:
Roy Williams - Superman
Josh H. in the Big12 Title
Torrance M. before the Orange Bowl, then the entire D during the game
Entire OU defense vs. Iowa State when Seneca Wallace was setting the world on fire (held them to like 3 yrds total offense in 1st half)
Paul Thompson's - Heart of a Sooner, total class, total team player
Bob Stoops - the balls to do what was right when players screwed up
Brandon Daniels vs. the Domers
Q. vs. the whorens
Jason White - guts and desire, sometimes barely able to walk

Although, there are many to choose from. What a great time to be Sooner!

There isn't much bad we can say about Josh. He was a one-of-a-kind kid I will forever thank the strange genius of Leach for finding from Snow Jr. College.

I doubt many will question that Bob assembled quite an inaugural staff.

I think Leach, Mangino, Spurrior Jr., and Mike is about as good as it gets for support staff.

The coaches make a real difference.

hmmmm... theres been so many.. I would have to say Quentin Griffin in the 2000 RRS. Nobody played with more heart. Best IP Ive seen in person, while not under Stoops was DeMond Parker at home in a lopsided loss to the Huskers. Coach TO remarked after the game " We couldnt tackle what we couldnt catch " Great effort against what read like an NFL roster.
