Bug bombs blowed up real good... (http://www.khou.com/news/local/galveston/stories/khou080122_ac_houseexplodes.48b2b6c3.html)

And a year ago or so, some dude in a Galveston County apartment set off about 15 bug bombs and destroyed the building. Galveston County must have some really big "Palmetto Bugs" ;)

Mythbusters did something like this. The conditions have to be just right to get it to happen, so it's hard to believe this was an accident.

If you saw the TV interview you wouldn't. Not a Mensa person there...

Lets see industrial strength bombs - check
Leave the pilot light on the stove - check
place all six bombs in the kitchen - check
Didn't reead the instructions - check
Leave the house - check

Blowed up house - not surprised.

It's funny. That's everything that Mythbusters had to do to get the things to blow. I think they used 12 bombs, though. And they had the stove firing on full blast. :D
