However, I have to say that their whole $4 generic prescription service is pretty cool. I don't have prescription benefits for 10 more days, and my supply of a couple of ongoing meds was getting down to my last five. Since my doc had the one that wasn't available generic in samples in his office, I'm getting out of this for only $4.

Now, that being said...

My doctor wrote the scrip for 20 pills. It's a medication that is never prescribed on a non-ongoing basis. The pharmacy refused to fill the prescription without making sure it was OK to give me 30 because they would only sell it in 30. 30 was the same price as 20. Dude. Just give me 20 and throw the other 10 away, I don't care.

But the cost can't be beat. So there.

plus they run a hella sale on all of their treestands right after deer season.

Is that a regulatory issue? If it is, then I apologize. They didn't make that clear to me at the counter-they just said that they come in 30 packs and that my prescription was for 20.

i don't think so. I think they just figure that nobody wants to buy treestands any more since the season is over. but, i could be wrong.

I don't know for sure that it's FDA based. It's likely more insurance based, and it's just easier for most pharmacists to stick to the core insurance requirements with customers whether or not they have coverage.

Our country allows the insurance companies, the FDA and the DEA to practice medicine. There is something very wrong about that.
