I think the SI cover "curse" may have officially begun in November of 1957, the week before the Domers snapped our 47-game winning streak. We were on the cover of SI that previous week, with the headline, "Why Oklahoma is Unbeatable". OOPS!!

As far as I'm concerned every future issue should feature a cover stating "Everyone but OU is the greatest team ever".
