Well, here 'tis (before we borrowed it.)

"Men Of Harlech", the Official Slow March of The Welsh Guards.

Sniff...

And...The Band Of The Irish Guards playing "The Captain General". One heck of a big sound for such a tiny band.

From the hillsides, from the prairies,
Comes a song that never wearies.
Loyalty that never varies,
Oklahoma, hail!

Ivied walls and stately towers,
Campus fair 'neath sun or showers,
All the love we bear thee flowers,
Oklahoma, hail!

Shout the chorus loudly,
Bear the emblem proudly,
Army vast, we march at last
and lift our voices stoutly.

On we march for Alma Mater,
On we march nor ever falter,
Singing loud, each son and daughter,
Oklahoma, hail!

You gotta love martial music played by a military band. As I've repeatedly stated, this is THE genre for all marching bands. Everything else is rubbish...except for "Thriller" at Hallowe'entime. ;)

Oh yeah, I am glad the British Army has respectfully but firmly informed the various "animal rights" loony collectives it will most definitely NOT disgard the bearskin busbys its Guards regiments wear for ceremonial occasions.

I didn't know that. Very cool. I love our traditions, even though they change too often. The horsepigs have to GO.
