PT signs with Titans!

This story is about two weeks old, but I didn't remember seeing it on the board. I thought I'd post it for all my fellow Paul Thompson supporters.

News 9 Sports has learned that former OU quarterback Paul Thompson has signed a future contract with the Tennessee Titans. Thompson will join the team in March and will compete for one of the backup spots behind current Titans starter Vince Young.

"They were persistent in their pursuit of me and we felt like this was the best fit right now," Thompson said Wednesday morning on KREF's "T-Row in the Morning Show."

Thompson played with the Green Bay Packers throughout last year's preseason and earned the third-string job before being released when the Packers made the decision to only carry two quarterbacks on their roster.

Former Sooner wide receiver Brandon Jones is also currently on the Tennessee Titans roster.

Wow, that's cool... and strange. VY and PT. Both are solid leaders and are great athletes if the QB thing doesn't work out for them.

I would imagine if he makes the team he will make the minimum which I think is around $250k or close to that, im not sure what a camp invite gets you?

I think it was like $260K when Rocky Calmus or maybe it was Teddy Lehman went to the league. Hopefully it's gone up some since then?
