Funny Computer Pranks

I did this to a co-worker of mine (a good friend). Some of you may have done this and know what I'm talking about, but it was done out of good fun.

Anyway, I hit Print Screen while he was away from his computer and then went to Paint and saved it as a .bmp, then changed his desktop wallpaper to that newly created bitmap. When he got back, he tried minimizing the window that he was working in and couldn't (obviously, because it was the desktop image). Finally, after he worked on it for 15 minutes, I gave in and showed him how I had done it.

Anyone else do anything like this?

Also, changing their mouse settings from sensitive to uber-slow makes for a funny laugh when it takes about 40 swipes on the mouse pad to move the cursor 2 inches on the screen. :D

Change the target for icons on the desktop..

ie.. they try to open Solitare and 2gurlswoncup opens..

For the hunt-&-peck folks: switch their kb keys around.

Crank up their sound all the way.

Dig up that tired (but still effective) "HEY EVERYBODY IM LOOKING AT PORN OVER HERE!!" gag.

Get them to unwittingly install BackOrifice so you can play dumb and/or spooky sounds on their computer.

You can have really geeky fun at other people's expense with group policy and sometimes Websense.

I work with a moran of the highest order here and he spends ALOT of time on google earth..

So I changed the target for his googearth icon to a URL the was just a download popup that said "You are downloading the entire internet.. approx time left 4387 years"
It would run for about 20 seconds and run another popup that said "C drive is full, please insert a diskett into drive A"


.. and yes the idiot went looking for 3.5 flopys
