Just wait for this time next year. We will be able to drop two of those losses since half of those losses listed are from the Blake era.

Maybe we should get blue turf?

so our % will go down?

we should stay on top of that list unless we start playing bowl games in Norman ;)

we do have a slight advantage in that our biggest regular season game is never at our home stadium. we'd have ~5 extra games in there (we were 6-4 in that span)

Yeah, it's a shame. They obviously aren't the "toughest" places to play if opponents win there consistently, just some of the loudest places. Unless loud noises scare you, it's not the same thing.

Maybe if came up some really clever taunt like... uhh, say...SOONER BAIT, and sold whiskey in the stands, and threw beer bottles and stuff at visiting fans and their buses we'd be up there with the great ones.

Wait, wait - Here's the answer to our bowl woes:
The Big Red Sports and Imports Bowl, in NORman !!

Thank me later. :)

Likewise, Texas...at #3...benefits from that. Assuming the games would've played out the same...which is a pretty big assumption...in a traditional alternate schedule system, we'd have two more home losses and Texas would have 3 more.

I'll take it, though, because those other places are considered tough places to play because the teams aren't as good as ours.

When people lose to those teams they think "wow, that must be a tough place to play" and their stadium ranking...whatever that is...goes up. When people lose in Norman they think "well, they were supposed to lose. OU is awesome."

Hey, I don't care if they ever rank us as one of the toughest places to play. Everyone knows we have one of the best all-time home records, and everyone's afraid to play us at Owen.

Does anyone know what the list would look like for all-time home records for all of the schools listed? I know about OU's record, but as for the rest, I don't know where to begin looking.

Disregard. I found a site that will compute winning percentages on things like this. Still, it would take a while to do all of the work.

http://football.stassen.com/records/h-win-pct.html

From what I've seen so far, the only teams ahead of OU are Michigan, Texas, Alabama, and Boise State (but that only counts like 75 games, most of which were WAC, so it really doesn't count). I think that's about it.

No, I'm just saying that this subject line is perilously close to sounding like "____ out of the last ____!!!" And it really doesn't help when we're counting down the days to next season, so we won't have to factor in any Blake years.

We're good. We're Oklahoma. We don't need to massage the stats to make ourselves feel better.

Wow, Tulsa is 37th all-time? We must have really racked up the home wins back in the Glenn Dobbs heyday. :D

I think that is bogus that South Florida is ahead of OU but then again too they just started playing like a decade ago.

Don't we have the longest home winning streak in the nation right now? With LSU/tOSU/USC losing at home this past year. Can someone please confirm.

We are currently on a 18 game winning streak but I think BYU is #1...I could be wrong though.

We are a loss to TCU from a 38 game winning streak at home :(
