Aside from the USC GWWDNSO, which was a choke job by a team that had a chance to win, all of these games were lose-lose situations for OU. And the two Fiesta Bowls were nothing more than an NFL preseason game. Woot! Hooray for TV coverage and an oppurtunity to get hurt for nothing! Granted, as a fan, I wanted us to win in all of these, but I certainly don't lose any sleep over it. Now the USC rape job, that one ****ed me off. We set the tone in that game until Mark Bradley muffed the punt for an easy USC score, then OUr team just quit on Stoops. They all started seeing NFL dollar signs. That was an embarassment.

These are all very valid arguments, but we all know the number one cause of any loss OU ever has: Fans like me and Rus being positive and thinking we're gonna win - to the point of predicting 30 point wins and making pictures of the Schooner running over opposing coaches, mascots, and players.

Everyone knows that what we all say on messageboard is directly related to both the play of OU and their opponents. What could be more logical than that?

Heh! And yet my comment is still valid, in much the same way that when the cautious and less boistrous fans warn us that some a-hole team is primed to upset us...we shouldn't be overconfident...it's bad mojo...etc.

Then we kick Miami's *** all over the field.

I'd love it if my words or antics could effect the game...I'd do whatever it takes to say the right words or fark the right picture if it meant we never lose!

It's not like a win by Oklahoma would be featured in commercials for the next year. Only teams that beat OU have that happen to them. All we get for a win is another notch on OUr gun.

Need I remind you of the overly gaudy bejewelled trophy that our last two Fiesta Bowl opponents now have in their trophy room?

Actually, I hope the players start to think about how much **** they take for letting a lesser team beat them on national television. Not that WV was a 'lesser team', but they weren't that good. The players need to start coming in with respect for our opponent. The coaches need to start coming in with respect for the schemes our opponents employ on O and D.

Treat a bowl game just like any other game. " Do not make the event bigger then what it is" It's just a football game people. Yes we want to win don't get me wrong, but maybe the team should treat it like any other football game. Lets get to the game 1-2 days early, not a WEEK EARLY. Yes I want the players to have fun, but maybe after the game the team can stay an extra few days??????????????? Whats so bad about that idea???
